Job Opportunity: Assistant Conservator of Paintings
The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is seeking an Assistant Conservator of Paintings to join its conservation team. Working closely with curatorial and collections staff, the Assistant Conservator of Paintings will participate in a wide range of department activities, including examination, treatment, catalogue research, loan preparations, exhibition activity, courier trips, preventive maintenance, and outreach.

2023 MRCG Annual Meeting
MRCG is pleased to announce that the 2023 Annual Meeting will be held in Kansas City, Missouri on October 12-14, though our venue has changed. Our reception on the evening of October 12 and the main conference sessions on October 13-14 will be hosted at the National WWI Museum and Memorial. The October 12 pre-conference workshop on Bruker's BRAVO handheld Raman spectrometer will be held nearby at the University of Kansas. (Workshop registration now closed.)

2023 MRCG Emerging Professionals Scholarship
The call for scholarship applications to attend the 2023 MRCG Annual Meeting is now closed.
If you are an early career collections care professional and are interested in attending the meeting, you are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Due to limited funding, the total award will cover the cost of registration and up to approximately $500 to assist with the additional cost of travel and accommodations.

Beloit College Center for Collections Care now accepting scholarship applications
The Center for Collections Care is pleased to share that we are now accepting scholarship applications for the 2023 season. $250 for online courses and $650 for in-person courses. Scholarships have been made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Democracy Demands Wisdom.

MRCG Membership Change Announcement
Our first-ever virtual vote in January had a response rate of over half our members. 91% voted "yes" to change our renewal date to September 1 of each year (See the results in the post!).
Moving forward, anyone with a 2022 membership will see their membership benefits extended until August 31, 2023.

Job Opportunity: Digitization & Conservation Project Manager
The Digitization & Conservation Project Manager is responsible for managing complex, interdepartmental workflows and projects for the Preservation and Digitization program. Performs the high-level functions of intake, assessment, and management of formal projects and patron requests. Plans and analyzes departmental projects, including scope, timeline projection, affected parties, exclusions, risks, allocation of staff time, workflow, and other factors, informing project partners across departments of requirements and impacts prior to start of projects.
