Conservation Technician Position at Northwestern University Libraries
The Conservation Technician is based in the Preservation Work group, reports to the Chief Conservator and has the primary responsibility of coordinating and performing conservation treatments and housings on both circulating and special collections materials. They play an important role in disaster response, exhibits, departmental policy and other activities.

Registration is now open for the Ohio Preservation Council (OPC) Special Collections Conservation Care online class. This professional development opportunity will take place virtually through pre-recorded talks that attendees will move through, self-directed, between the dates of June 2nd and June 23rd.
New position at OSU libraries: Book and Paper Conservator- Deadline extended to May 23
Reporting to the Head of Conservation, the Book and Paper Conservator will be responsible for performing conservation treatments of bound and unbound library materials in support of the stewardship of special collections at the Ohio State University Libraries.

2021 MRCG Meeting in Indianapolis
We are excited to share details for our November 2021 meeting, which we plan to hold at the Indiana State Library in Indianapolis. We hope and expect that by November we will be ready to gather in person again!

Position Available: Materials Care Assistant, Northwestern University Library
The Materials Care Assistant is an important member of the University Libraries Preservation Work Group. This position has key responsibilities including coordinating housing projects, tracking collections material, and participating in preventative conservation initiatives. Additional responsibilities include managing intra-library aspects of exhibits and collaborating with various stakeholders.

As part of its strategic plan, the Museum has initiated a collection condition survey of its works of art on paper. This project is planned for a two-year period, 2021-2023.
