Some News from Indianapolis!

The IMA was awarded a 2015-2016 FAIC Samuel H. Kress Conservation Fellowship in Paintings Conservation. Erica Shuler, current 3rd year intern in paintings conservation from Buffalo State College, will become the Kress Fellow in September 2015 and work on the Clowes Collection of Old Master Paintings catalogue project. The Fellowship is supported by a grant from the Foundation of the American Institute for Conservation, funded by the Samuel H. Kress Foundation.Associate Conservator of Textiles Amanda Holden, Conservation Technician Mallory Marty, and pre-program volunteer Jacquelyn Peterson are currently preparing for the upcoming exhibition “Cutting Edge Fashion; Recent Acquisitions from the Indianapolis Museum of Art.” Over 100 textiles will be on display on 57 mannequins, custom mounts, and strainers.
