In Ann Arbor
University of Michigan Museum of Art. Over 18,000 artworks showcasing Western, Asian, African, and Modern and Contemporary works of art. Nichols Arboretum. University of Michigan’s arboretum, with beautiful walking trails, is located adjacent to U-M's Central Campus in Ann Arbor. 1610 Washington Hts, (734) 647-7600

In Southeast Michigan
There are two world-class museums within a 45 minute drive of Ann Arbor: The Detroit Institute of Arts and The Henry Ford. We love them both and have included links below. There are many places we haven’t included info on! There are historic houses, like the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, as well as many other fun things to do in our neighborhood, like rafting the Huron River. We hope you have a great time!
Detroit Institute of Arts. One of the top art museums in the U.S. of A., the DIA is freakin’ gorgeous. Check the linked website for hours, directions, and special exhibitions. About a 45 min. drive from A2. The Henry Ford. If you like industrial design, you are going to love this museum. THF also encompasses Greenfield Village, 80+ acres of historic American structures. Plus there is an IMAX theater, and/or you can take a tour of the Ford Rouge Factory. It is all seriously cool. The Museum and Village are open 7 days a week, 9:30 am to 5 pm.
